Resume: Antibacterial Resistance in Tuberculosis: Diagnosis and Treatment Challenges. Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) poses a serious threat to global public health. This type of tuberculosis is resistant to standard anti-TB drugs, complicating diagnosis and treatment. Research shows that treatment for patients with MDR-TB requires prolonged therapy, carries a high risk of side effects, and is limited in effectiveness. Furthermore, new forms of tuberculosis, such as XDR-TB, are emerging, exacerbating the problem.
